FINAL DESIGN



Political propaganda was a large part in my essay. Millenials during WW2 were so influenced by political propaganda and graphic design was the instrument used. Fast forward and millenials today are less interested in politics and more into popular culture. My solution works to go back to our roots and engage millenials in politics in a method relevant to our culture. A less formal, loud, vibrant animation was used to engage the audience in a way social media has not depicted the news as of yet. Bringing the sense of commercialism and consumerism of graphic design discussed in my essay into my solution was important to engage my audience. Branding tactics were used to give the news more importance particularly for the scrolling social media culture that exists today. Using a company such as Vice was the most suitable way to approach this idea, due to what the company stands for in the world of news and journalism, they gain access to places mainstream media can’t through their immerse and adventurous journalism.
